This past weekend (October 13th) Marco Benevento played to a packed house at Colony. It was one of those magic moments when the dance floor is jumpin’, the bartenders busy, smiles are plenty and we’re reminded why we took ownership of this iconic space!
Many ticket holders for this particular show were local residents, we can only assume it’s because Marco and his delightful family reside in the Woodstock area. Colony was one of the many venues Marco is playing to celebrate the release of his new album “Let It Slide” and we were happy to be on his list.
This most recent show got us thinking (with deep gratitude) ….
Who are the “locally grown” artists making their mark outside of the Hudson Valley and who continue to play sold-out shows for their local fan-base here at Colony: The Big Takeover, Lindsay Webster, Simi Stone, The Felice Brothers, Tuba Skinny, Billy Rogan, Eric Redd…(please let us know if we missed anyone)
Whether it’s hip-shaking dance music or silky-smooth jazz, the shows are always amazing and continue to be memory making performances for all who attend…we are a lucky lot, aren’t we?
Thank you for your continued support of these artists and of the Colony.
Keep listening local…we’ll see you at the door!
