Woodstock Was Pretty In Pink
As you scan the shelves of your favorite wine and spirits store you can’t avoid The Pink. Not only have rosé wines gained popularity and variety, but you’ll find rosé flavored vodka, margaritas, rosé spiked seltzers and a plethora of cocktail recipes now included in bar menus.
Not a town to shy away from a good time, on June 8th Woodstock got in on the trend with the 2019 Rosé Crawl Events. The first crawl was hosted by unique Woodstock venues: Woodstock Wine and Liquors, Oriole 9, Station Bar and Curio , R&R Taproom and yours truly, Colony. Each location offered several Rosés to sample along with other goodies from their menu or local vendors. We paired our tasting with delicious bite-size cupcakes from Woodstock’s own Rigdzin Drolma, baker extraordinaire and proprietress of Me3 Bakery, who somehow managed to keep the dainty frosting roses from melting.
The weather was perfect for the event; not too hot or humid (rare for June in upstate NY) and not one single cloud in the sky. For several hours there was a party at every venue and the town was abuzz with locals and tourists carrying the pink game checklists as they “crawled” from venue to venue. Colony was thrilled to be a part of the action and we look forward to the upcoming three dates.
Please join us for the next three Rosé Crawls on July 13th,
